Our capabilities are what set us apart from other extruders. ELBEX has the capability to extrude profiles as small as 0.0625” Wide up to 18” Wide. The Thickness can range from 0.030” up to 8” High, with a maximum diameter of 8”.
Common materials used are EPDM, Nitrile (Buna-N), Neoprene (Polychloroprene), Polyisoprene, Butyl, SBR, and Silicone. Through strong partnerships with vendors, depending on the application and scope of the project, ELBEX can help to develop materials to meet specific requirements – line callouts, as necessary.
ELBEX can offer a wide variety of secondary services, which include vulcanized splicing, cutting, printing, and taping. Additionally, through strategic relationships with locally based companies, we can extend the range of secondary services to include punching and slitting.
ELBEX manufactures to RMA standards per customer requirements. If special tolerance is required, we would be glad to work with you to accommodate the request. Please let us know, we welcome any opportunity for discussion and look forward to meeting your needs.
ELBEX has an in-house tooling department that allows us to minimize both lead times and cost. Extrusion dies can be ready within 1-2 weeks. In general, our lead time on production orders is 3-4 weeks and cutting dies does not add to it.
Yes we can! ELBEX mixes Silicone on-site. This allows us to mix Silicone in an array of different colors, while also allowing us to shorten lead-time and offer very competitive pricing on Silicone products. For exact color matches, we have local vendors with the equipment and expertise to match to color samples.
Based on our 25 + years of experience, ELBEX realizes that you are the expert when it comes to designing parts for your application. We do not want to directly design your part, but are always glad to share our experience and provide suggestions that may help to improve the performance of your part. We are available to discuss design and function of your intended application.
Although we prefer to work from .dwg or .dxf files, we can work off of anything from a rough sketch with dimensions to .jpg and .pdf files. The more detail, the better. A physical sample is also very helpful, if available.
Yes, ELBEX can ship internationally. We currently have several customers overseas and are always willing to help. We pride ourselves on providing quality products, on-time, domestically and internationally.
Our location, very close to Akron, OH (The Rubber Capital), makes it very convenient to provide material testing. Our strong, long-lasting relationships with local vendors make it very convenient to provide testing through independent laboratories, obtain material certifications, and minimize any time associated with that.
