Profiles Used in Construction
There are several standard profiles we have used in the past for construction projects. Rubber and silicone profiles in the industry help accomplish several different goals.
Expansion joints, for example, help absorb movement and provide a transition between two different surfaces. If there is a concern of structural damage due to expansion or contraction between those surfaces, an expansion joint can ease that burden.
D-section profiles by contract fill a gap or void and create a seal between two surfaces. Commonly D-section profiles are used as a weather seal in door or windows.
