ELBEX’s Architectural Glazing Applications

Of the countless rubber extrusion products manufactured by ELBEX, several are used in the architectural glazing field. Glazing is the process of seating and sealing fenestration systems on a variety of buildings and structures.
Types of Profiles Used in Glazing
Glazing system profiles can range from simple setting blocks to complicated, multi-purpose profiles. ELBEX has manufactured a variety of profiles used in this field, many of which are featured on our website.
Common uses of profiles in glazing are to help set window systems in place. But these profiles must also serve as an environmental barrier, fill voids, set glass into an aluminum tracking channel, and help to ensure a proper fit. A variety of materials can be used to create a glazing profile to best fit the project specifications.
Rubber gaskets, bulb seals, D-section profiles, setting blocks, and silicone sheeting can also be used in glazing.
Customize Your Profile
We take pride in manufacturing the highest quality profiles. But if you do not see a profile you can use, ELBEX can design a profile that fits your project’s specifications. Based on our extensive capabilities, we are equipped to tackle unique or persisting challenges.
