Capabilities for Custom and Standard Rubber Extrusions

ELBEX Corporation was founded by Edward L. Bittle in 1991 after decades in the rubber industry during its heyday in Akron, Ohio.

Bittle originally worked for B.F. Goodrich in Akron before he left to form his own company — Seal Master. But Bittle saw an opportunity to leap into the custom rubber profile extrusions and rubber extrusion manufacturing markets.

Based in Kent, Ohio, ELBEX has multiple capabilities within rubber extrusion.

ELBEX produces rubber profile extrusions, cord, tubing, and sheeting; continuous vulcanization lines; Davis-Standard extrusions; and finished gaskets. All of these products are manufactured to meet a variety of standards such as ASTM, SAE, AMS, RMA, and military.

We also work with a variety of materials including PVC, ABS, neoprene, Polyisoprene, Silicone, and can do custom in-house batch material mixing.

ELBEX also provides in-house engineered rubber solutions (in-house tooling design and production) and custom rubber products and compound design assistance; offer value added services such as taping with pressure-sensitive adhesives, and post production services like on-spec and on-time deliveries.
